✳ PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy, in plain language.
We collect very little: only what you choose to send us. Our products store your organisation's data in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, so it never reaches us at all.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Who we are
Brillienta (“we”, “us”) builds workplace products for Microsoft 365 and provides Microsoft 365 development and consulting services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website, contact us, book a demo, buy a licence or ask for support. For questions about this policy, write to privacy@brillienta.com.
2. Data in our products
Brillienta products are SharePoint Framework solutions that run in your Microsoft 365 tenant. The records they manage — employees, leave, payroll, tickets, assets, tasks, directory profiles and intranet content — are stored in SharePoint lists and libraries on your own sites.
- The products do not send that data to us, and we have no access to your tenant.
- Licence keys are checked inside the app; the check reads only your own SharePoint.
- The products contain no analytics, advertising or usage tracking.
- Optional AI features use services under your own Microsoft agreement (Microsoft 365 Copilot or your own Azure OpenAI resource).
For this data, your organisation decides how it is used and Microsoft stores it under your Microsoft agreement. Brillienta is not a processor of it.
3. What we collect
- Enquiries and demo bookings: your name, work email, company, role, company size, country, the products you are interested in, your preferred time and anything you write in the message.
- How you found us, with a form you send: the page you sent it from, the first page you visited in that browser session, the referring website, and campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_source). We use this only to understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries. - Customers: the organisation name, Microsoft 365 tenant name, plan, seats and billing contact we need to issue a licence key and invoice.
- Support requests: what you send us — descriptions, and any screenshots or files you choose to attach.
- Email: the content and metadata of emails you send us.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, special-category data such as health information, or your employees' personal records.
4. How we use it
- To reply to you, arrange and run demos and consulting calls — because you asked us to.
- To issue licence keys, invoice and provide support — to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records required by tax and accounting law.
- To tell existing customers about important product updates and security issues — a legitimate interest. You can opt out of non-essential updates at any time.
We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.
5. Who we share it with
Forms on this website are sent to a small server function run by our website hosting provider, which checks the request and passes it to our own systems in Microsoft 365, where we track enquiries. The hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operations. We share personal information only with service providers like these that help us run the business — for example our hosting, email and office software and accounting providers — under contracts that require them to protect it, or where the law requires us to. Some providers may store data outside your country; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies & third parties
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across sites. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads them. The site keeps campaign tags, the landing page and the referring website in your browser's session storage (not a cookie) until you close the tab; they are sent to us only if you submit a form. The booking page keeps your choices only in your browser until you send them. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and demo requests that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer and billing records: for the duration of the contract and as long as tax law requires afterwards.
- Files attached to support requests: deleted when the request is closed, unless you ask us to keep them.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act — you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email privacy@brillienta.com; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We protect the information we hold with access controls, multi-factor authentication on our accounts and encryption provided by our service providers. To report a security issue, see the trust center.
10. Changes & contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell customers by email. Contact: privacy@brillienta.com.
