How to evaluate a Microsoft 365 app in a 14-day trial
Two weeks is enough to decide — if you plan it. A checklist for IT, the business owner and security, so the trial answers the questions that matter.
Every Brillienta product starts with a 14-day trial of all Enterprise features, counted per tenant, on your own Microsoft 365. Two weeks goes quickly. This is the plan we suggest to customers so the trial ends with a clear decision.
Before day 1
- Pick one real process — leave requests for one department, IT tickets for one office, assets for one floor.
- Name three people: a business owner, an IT administrator and a reviewer from security or compliance.
- Read the guide's “limits” section first. Every Brillienta guide lists known trade-offs; it is better to rule something out on day 0 than day 13.
Days 1–3: install and configure
Deploy the package from your tenant app catalog, add the web part to a page and run the setup wizard. Approve only the Graph permissions for the features you plan to test.
Days 4–10: run the process for real
Use real (or realistic) cases with real people. Watch for friction: where do people get stuck, what do they ask about, what do they bypass?
Days 11–14: review and decide
- Business owner: did it save time, and would people use it without being pushed?
- IT: how much administration did it take, and how will updates be deployed?
- Security: where is the data, who can see it, and which permissions are granted?
When the trial ends, a signed licence key bound to your tenant unlocks your plan. Your data is already in your SharePoint, so nothing needs to be migrated.
